Jo Stuurman

Meet Joe – our very first artist and the brains behind our pilot sock range. Joe is a child of the stolen generation, being adopted by a Dutch couple who came to Australia. His life has centered around reuniting families who, like him, were forcibly removed from their families.

On top of reuniting over 30 families, Joe has a long history at QUT. Starting as a student, Joe has since worked in the Indigenous support network and as a lecturer. We are so very pleased to have Joe on board!
